Toronto and Montréal, December 1, 2017 — The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Quebecor Fund today announced a new pilot partnership to promote the export of Canadian content. The CMF will draw on the expertise of the Quebecor Fund in the management and implementation of the latter’s Export Assistance Program.

Toronto, November 22, 2017 - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) would like to remind producers that the deadline to apply to the Canada-Denmark Co-Development Incentive for Digital Media Projects and the Canada-Germany Digital Media Incentive is coming up. The deadline to apply to both these incentives is December 12, 2017.

The Program supports productions that reflect Canada’s diversity by funding projects in languages other than English, French, or Aboriginal languages.

The study reveals a five-point, year-over-year increase in consumption of television by Canadians, demonstrating that this platform is gaining popularity among Canadians and it is increasingly attracting frequent viewers who consume television once a day to six times a week.

Toronto/Los Cabos, November 9, 2017 - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Mexican Film Institute (Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía - IMCINE), an agency of the Mexican Secretariat of Culture, announced today the signing of an agreement to establish a dedicated incentive for the codevelopment of audiovisual projects between Canadian producers and Mexican producers.
