MIPTV, along with MIPCOM in the fall, are the world’s leading events in audiovisual content creation, coproduction, purchasing, sales, financing and distribution across all platforms. The 2015 edition of MIPTV was held from April 13 to 16 in Cannes, France.
The event provides participants with the opportunity to expand their network of business contacts, discover the latest trends in the industry and its markets, and develop international partnerships.
According to event organizers, overall attendance was 11,000, similar to the previous year.
The Canada Media Fund partnered with Telefilm Canada to lead a campaign to contribute to Canada’s visibility in this highly competitive market. Several actions were carried-out in preparation for the market and during the event to promote Canadian know-how and productions and to position Canada as a leading coproduction partner.
