**Due to a high demand for the Anglophone Minority Incentive, the CMF will no longer be accepting applications from producers who wish to receive funds as part of this program.
The Anglophone Minority Incentive is designed to support one of the Canada Media Fund’s mandates of encouraging television convergent production by both majority and minority official-language sectors. This incentive is part of the CMF's Convergent Stream; thus, projects funded through this stream must include content to be produced for distribution on at least two platforms, one of which must be television. However, only the Television Component will be financed by the CMF as part of the Anglophone Minority Incentive.
We encourage applicants to submit their applications as early as possible as available funds are distributed on a first-come first served basis. In the event that a large number of projects are submitted on the same date, creating demand overflow for a given program, the CMF will limit the available to one project per application and will distribute funding on a proportional (pro-rated) basis to eligible productions. English language projects from Québec will no longer have access to the English Regional Production Bonus.
To access funding a project must meet all requirements set out in the 2016-2017 Guidelines. Only applications that meet all requirements will be considered.
